“Brodermordet” — War
This song is absolutely amazing. Everything is and isn’t working here—it sounds like the song is being destroyed, but the wonderful melody persists. It’s almost like a pop version of William Basinki’s “The Disintegration Loops”. But while those marvelous pieces of music are consumed (literally) by death, “Brodermordet” sounds more like Cain and Abel dancing in the decay.
